X 42 . Airbus Eurocopter
The Challenge
As part of the renewal of the renowned Dauphin, Airbus Eurocopter’s multi-role helicopter, we were commissioned to explore several architectures and product design directions, subject to stringent constraints and technical specifications.
We had to anticipate the aerodynamic, technological, and ergonomic shifts in civil and military helicopter fleets over the coming decades for the world leader in aerospace.
The Design Solution
We proposed several concepts, each tailored to the operational specifications that pushed the boundaries of structural performance and pilot experience, then modeled and visualized the selected solutions. This type of forward-looking, conceptual project is one of the most valuable for our design studio: it fosters a technical culture of innovation and form that subsequently informs all our projects.
