Chai Chevron Villette
Wine as architecture
The challenge
To design the headquarters, winery, and production facility for Chevron Villette wines in the heart of “Provence Verte” — a building that serves as both an ultra-modern production tool and the architectural signature of an exacting wine estate.
The design response
The stainless steel side facades — mirroring the winery’s vats — feature bottle-shaped perforations across two levels, creating shifting optical illusions as visitors move around. The entrance presents itself as a kaleidoscope, made up of an entire wall of rosé bottles whose reflections produce constantly changing light effects. Inside: an oak barrel cellar, an exhibition space, and a retail cellar, creating an estate that uses its architecture as its primary communication tool.
