System-based street furniture
The challenge
GHM sought to renew its range of street, railway, and tramway station furniture with a genuinely modular system, capable of adapting to any platform or concourse layout and integrating multiple services without multiplying product references.
The design response
Ixea is built around a free-standing structural beam set at seating height, onto which backrests, half-seats, work tables, and lighting modules can be added as needed. A single system meets all usage requirements — short wait, long wait, working, information — with immediate formal consistency. Full mission: concept, structural invention, general engineering, fine-tuning, and technical development follow-up.
