Kea . GHM
A collection for the city
The challenge
GHM wished to design a complete new collection of aluminum urban furniture — chairs, benches, light columns — capable of creating entirely coherent and recognizable public spaces, in a market dominated by a few major European brands.
The design response
Kea is organized around a hot-formed ribbed aluminum structure that is lightweight, durable, and distinctive. Chairs, benches, and light columns share the same formal vocabulary, allowing local authorities to compose harmonious ensembles. The range also includes bollard lights that extend the collection’s identity into local public lighting. Full mission: concept, invention of structure, general engineering, fine-tuning, technical development monitoring.
