Rethinking the Bathroom
The Challenge
A Saint-Gobain subsidiary wanted to explore new uses and emerging issues in the contemporary bathroom—as a space for well-being, connectivity, and modularity—as part of an open-ended prospective study.
The Design Solution
Among the proposed solutions was a system of connectable elements that creates a continuous line between bathtubs, sinks, and showers—a single formal logic that unifies the entire bathroom. The connected acrylic modules accommodate new uses without sacrificing the purity of the space. Design assignment ranging from creative research to 3D modeling, including the definition of technical principles.
