The challenge
Schreder was looking for a concept capable of demonstrating the superiority of LED over traditional technologies — an object that would serve as both a technical argument and a design manifesto.
The design response
Perla invented an entirely new light head structure, specifically engineered to leverage the properties of LED sources: compactness, directivity, and thermal management. Its clean, taut shape has become a benchmark in urban LED lighting. Perla has been installed in dozens of cities across Europe and worldwide.
