Strategy in Space

The Challenge

To create a universal spatial strategy game, playable by 2 to 6 people, that is both simple to understand and deep to master—and to design an object whose sculptural quality is as striking as the gaming experience itself.

The Design Solution

3X is a sort of three-dimensional Connect 4: players work together to build a shared structure in space and race to be the first to complete a given shape or pattern. Simple in appearance, the game fosters focus, creativity, and—when played with others—a unique collaborative dimension. Full-scope project from concept to production oversight, including brand and packaging development.
