Light Illusion
The Challenge
To design a wall sconce for large spaces that would make an immediate and memorable visual impact—beyond its simple function as a light source.
The Design Solution
Wow’s concentric pattern exploits a well-known mechanism of visual perception: the brain struggles to process networks of concentric lines and generates an illusion of movement radiating from the center as the observer moves. The wall sconce becomes a dynamic optical object, whose effect changes with every shift of the gaze. Full-scope project from creative research to 3D modeling, engineering, and production oversight.
