Puerto Rico
The mastered rainbow
The challenge
To design a monument for Puerto Rico capable of embodying immateriality, movement, and light within an architecture that is both formally simple and visually infinite.
The design response
An arch whose silhouette changes endlessly depending on the viewing angle — a hymn to immateriality. It becomes the setting for one of the most beautiful natural phenomena that technology can master: an artificial rainbow, generated by water misting. At night, light catches the suspended droplets, transforming the arch into a beacon for the island.
